Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

November 14th, 2007 . by Liz

One of the classic unanswered questions of our time:

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Philosophers may wrap their brains around that one all they want. I say: who cares?

What’s important is that we’re either eating the chicken or the egg - or both, maybe in one sitting. So as long as the egg is runny and the chicken is cooked, well - bon appetite!

Isn’t the joke that it’s a trick question? Of course eggs were around first, not chicken eggs, but it’s never specified in the question. Reptile eggs were around before chickens therefore the answer is the egg.

Well, I am a Christian so this is how I see it:
God created the world and all the animals and man in it, right?
It says in the Bible that He created all living creatures, and that Adam named all of them. I doubt Adam named a bunch of eggs. When God created the universe, I believe that He created them already full-grown adults.

    Well, that’s my say anyway.
