What does ‘jenny’ mean?

December 3rd, 2008 . by Liz

I dug into the category Name Meanings for this week’s WikiAnswers Wednesday. It even came with an answer in the history that I thought important enough to share with the greater public:

What does jenny mean?

Jenny means a backstabbing friend and is really stupid. you get jelous alot and people hate it dont want to be your friend. you are short and people can smell you from like 2 desks away cause of your dicusting house smell. you think your ssooo pretty but you really arent. if anyone ever was your friend they would soon as possible try to be best friends with the new girl eccept of you. you are really shy and need to stop acting ssooo wierd. you always stare at people (like certain somebodys you want to be your friend and wonder why there not any more–??–) even when they know your staring at them. quit trying to hang out with people that dont wana hang out with you.

Wow, man. Someone really has a problem with Jenny. Maybe they need an ice cream or something.

My Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, Tenth Edition, Copyright 2001, defines jenny as: 1a: a female bird b: a female donkey 2: SPINNING JENNY.

I’ve never heard of the definition given by the illiterate submitter, Liz.

This is top 3 material, right up there with the June 18 entry about mosquitos and the January 29 entry about the Super Bowl.

I feel your pain, Bob. Good luck and best wishes.

Jenny is short for either Jennifer or Genevieve.
The offensive entry above is riddled with so many quite shocking spelling errors , so we know the kind who wrote this.

This is all too typical of the answers at WikiAnswers lately. Bullying seems to be the norm.

Q&A containing any type of cyberbullying should be immediately flagged or reported to a supervisor via message boards or wikianswers.com email for prompt removal of the offending material. Though we have nearly 500 volunteer supervisors on-site and a plethora of registered users, there are still 7 million plus questions on WikiAnswers to monitor. Notification of such bullying to a supervisor’s attention would greatly help to reduce offensive postings. A complete listing of current WikiAnswers supervisors is found in the Help Center at WikiAnswers home.
