I was walking with a group of friends in my town the other day, one of whom was wearing the signature Answers.com t-shirt.

As we walked, two kids rode by us on bicycles, the boy calling out: “So, what are all the answers???”

What I said out loud was, “Go to www.answers.com!”

But what I thought to myself was, You could start by wearing a helmet…

Guess what? WikiAnswers was the fastest growing U.S. website of 2007. If you don’t think that’s cool, then you’re also probably still wearing tweed jackets or jelly shoes… so…

Here’s an excerpt of the press release:

Answers Corporation… announced today that according to analysis using comScore data… for 2007, WikiAnswers’ unique monthly visitor count in the U.S. grew 573%, to nearly 6.5 million. This ranks WikiAnswers as the fastest growing domain of the top 1,500 in the U.S. as measured by unique monthly visitors.

The company also announced that questions on the site increased by 50% in the past three months, to over 1.5 million. In addition, registered users have topped the 500,000 mark.

“We knew that 2007 would be an extraordinary year for WikiAnswers as it kept hitting all-time record traffic and revenue highs along with all other site metrics,” said Answers Corporation Chairman and CEO Bob Rosenschein. “With User-Generated Content (UGC) sites now booming, we are thrilled with the accomplishments of our UGC site WikiAnswers and will continue to cultivate this remarkable asset.”
